Fingerprinting


The Brown County Sheriff’s Office provides fingerprinting services for adoptions, job applications, identification, immigration, etc.  The Fingerprint cards we have on hand are the FBI (FD-258) and the DCI card.  We do fingerprinting electronically.

Hours

As of 6/23/2021:

Monday through Friday: 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

These hours may be affected by holidays. 

Fingerprinting can take up to 30 minutes, but your wait could be longer depending on the number of people in line.


Fee

$20 per fingerprint session

We accept Cash, Check, and Credit (with exceptions listed below). 

  • American Express Not Accepted
  • There is a Service Fee applied to amount for use of Credit. 

Items to Bring With You

Bring one piece of valid and current government issued identification or, if expired, the renewal slip.

Types of acceptable identification include:

  • State-issued driver’s license or identification card
  • United States passport
  • United States active duty military identification card
  • Retiree, or reservist military identification card
  • INS I-551 resident alien card
  • INS I-766 employment authorization card
  • United States tribal identification card

Also bring a blank fingerprint card if an employer or other organization has provided you one. Don’t fill out or sign the card before you arrive. We can only print on an actual fingerprint card, not a paper copy.
