Brown County has been working on an update to our five year Hazardous Mitigation Plan. Part of the plan is to accept input from the public. Here is a link to a short survey to help us understand what is needed in our communities all across Brown County.

ALL LOADS ENTERING THE LANDFILL MUST BE COVERED AND SECURE.
This means end gates / side gates must be up and loads must be securely fastened to the trailer or vehicle they are transported in. This includes but not limited to: Chains, straps, rope etc.… This does not mean a rubber tarp strap is enough to secure a load in a 30-mph wind.
In September 2021 Brown County selected HMN Architects, Inc. to evaluate the jail needs and prepare information to allow the county to evaluate 5 options. We have prepared a program that would address the future needs of the Sheriff’s Office and Jail, the jail is the focus.
