The Brown County Welfare Department duties are to provide necessary support to ensure the survival of indigent clients who are county residents. Through an application process determination of assistance is based on South Dakota Codified law and County guidelines.

* Medical Assistance must be pre-approved

BE AWARE THAT A LIEN WILL BE FILED AGAINST YOU BY THE COUNTY WHICH YOU MUST PAY BACK IN FULL.
